The Postdoctoral Research Station of State Information Center (SIC) was officially approved by the Ministry of Personnel in 2003. There are 7 disciplines under the Station: theoretical economics, applied economics, management science and engineering, sociology, science of strategy, psychology and cyberspace security. The Station is qualified to recruit postdoctoral researchers.
The Station devotes itself to the theoretical and applied research in the fields of economic development and informatization, working as one of the bases for cultivating high-level policy researchers and decision makers. The Station now has more than 30 postdoctoral instructors, including specialists with a profound academic background and rich practical experiences,
academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, senior experts from NDRC and SIC, etc. They provide full range of guidance to postdoctoral researchers, helping them carry out interdisciplinary project research. Since the establishment of the Station, the number of postdoctoral researchers has added up to 90 and now it holds 25 researchers, who has consisted of a young and dynamic team playing an increasingly important role in China’s economic and informatization research.
In recent years, the work and talent training pattern of the Station was recognized by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Office of National Postdoctoral Administrative Committee and the Department of Personnel of NDRC and other research stations and peer experts. In the year of 2010 and 2015 separately, the Station was rated ‘Excellent’ in the comprehensive review on postdoctoral research stations across the country.
